Well built item that comes with a nice shockmount and padded pouch. Fortunately it sounds as good as it looks.Coupled with the lovely Centrance MicportPro it produces a pleasantly smooth and detailed sound. It requires phantom power, but is very sensitive and doesn’t require much juice to get high levels.I use it for speech and was expecting to have to use some post processing to warm things up a bit – I was wrong.I actually compared this with the Shure SM58 and Heil PR-20UT. The Heil came a close second, and the Shure third (for my purposes, anyway).Highly recommended.

Great price for quality kit and it works in our live performance context. Also very good at voice overs and spoken word recording

Arrived quickly, exactly as described. This mic has a very natural sound and is suitable for many recordings such as voice, guitar, overheads, sax. I use it on everything without worrying, and recordings always come out full of character. Don’t think you can do much better for large diaphragms for the price.

The extremely low circuit noise makes this a true pro option. It has excellent overall pickup and quite a rich sound although this can be a little muddy in the mix without EQ. My go to vocal mic for recording. Picks up low frequencies very well so bottom end on a guitar is bass rich (if thats what you want) and it is also great for bass drum and low end percussion.

Crystal clear microphone. Use for commentary while gaming. I don’t exactly have Mariah Carey’s vocals (then again, she doesn’t nowadays either) so I can’t tell you what singing is like on it – although I’m sure it’s wonderful. Is quite expensive when considering that you need an Audio Interface and more than likely a mic boom/stand as well, however, if you’re looking for a high quality XLR microphone this should be expected. Comes with a nice branded leather pouch to store the shock mount, too.

  6. This microphone was a fantastic buy; recorded vocals with them in my home earlier this week and, for that purpose, it turned out to be everything that I needed; I can’t wait to test it out on my guitar cabinet and acoustic guitar, but based on the other reviews I have read, I won’t be disappointed. The AT2035 is a great microphone that accurately captures every natural nuance of ones voice and doesn’t produce a tinny sound at all; with the provided pop-filter, the plosives come through sharply but not harshly…in fact, nothing came through harshly at all. I love it!

  7. Excellent product. The quality of Audio-Technica is awesome and is great for anyone who wants to start up and experiment with recording. The bundle comes with an XLR cable, a pop filter, bag, and the microphone. I was in the market for a good microphone at a relatively cheap price, and stumbled upon this. Works great and really gives a clear sound that I’m looking for. The pop filter is great as well and the XLR cable does the job.The one thing I didn’t like is the bag. The bag doesn’t seem to fit the microphone too well and I have to jam them in the slots to get them in. Other than that, this bundle is excellent.

  9. The reason why I did not give 4 stars is because the case it comes with is absolutely useless. It doesn’t fit anything. The mic, however, is outstanding. It sounds great and is incredibly durable. This is a wonderful mic for a decently experienced recording artist, a beginner, and/or someone who is on a budget. Would definitely recommend.

  10. Came with an extra microphone. Works as advertised. Have to make sure the mike is extended over a leg so it doesn’t tip over. Good package.

  11. I did a load of research for a good voice over mic and this mic works great.

  14. Without going into all the technical details:Used correctly (assumes knowledge of acoustics, hardware and software etc), this mic can be easily used for professional class recordings, certainly including vocals.I also have an AT2020, and while it’s also excellent for recording, I like the “high pass” filter which rolls off the bass frequencies nicely, especially for vocals. The additional surface space of the cardioid pattern in the AT2035 vs AT2020 does seem to me to bring a different tone, which in my view lends itself well to some voices (hard for me to quantify this exactly, but it seems a little more “bright” in raw recordings).Of course with an array of high end plugins and gear, you can make even mediocre recordings sound much better, but for professional level recording, there is a lot of factors which will make the raw recording significantly easier to “polish” at the Mixing and Mastering stages, by getting it right from the start (includes having the right sound isolation and acoustic treatment, gear/DAW etc in the “studio” – including “home studios”).The AT 2035 I’ve found is great for recording vocals (singing, voiceover etc) and acoustic guitar. I’ve yet to try it with stringed or brass/woodwind instruments, but would expect the quality to be in the same region.NOTE: This Microphone needs “Phantom Power” to run, and uses XLR connections, so this is NOT for use with USB directly, you need an Audio Interface with the XLR capability and Phantom Power to work. Personally, I MUCH prefer to run with a Thunderbolt capable Audio Interface, and use a Resident T4 for example (there are many to choose from) which is a Thunderbolt 2 interface, hence many times faster than USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 (idea being the “latency” is much better via Thunderbolt vs USB – depending on the PC set up and the type of Audio Interface, this will vary, but we’re talking multiple, sometimes 10 times faster – so this is SIGNIFICANT – Note: Macs etc run natively with Thunderbolt).Re if you want to run the AT2035 through a Thunderbolt interface on PC, you will need a motherboard which is Thunderbolt capable, and often requires a specifically dedicated Thunderbolt card for the particular brand and type of motherboard to work, PLUS with the enabling software to allow the Thunderbolt to work. Reducing the time it takes for your signal to be processed, and for you to avoid “lag” in hearing the result (if it’s delayed too much it can be VERY distracting if singing/playing for example), I’d highly recommend getting the best gear you can, and also if using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), getting the right “ASIO” software, and also minimizing all active programs to optimize CPU/RAM and Storage I/O (Input/Output) rates. Also, getting a quality Audio Interface will allow you to record with the sample rates and quality level you desire, which if quality is important, will be critical to the end result. So, if you want to get the most out of this mic, considering pairing this with some of the above supporting aspects to getting a great recording, this mic is certainly good enough for high end home studios to get professional class recordings, and at a great price point.

  15. This is a great deal based on the fact that you are getting the extras free. The mic alone is the same price from other sellers. Good pop filter and VERY good Monoprice mic cable. I felt I had to knock off one star because the stand itself is a real cheapie. It can’t hold a large condenser microphone. The stand was actually in a “kit” with a zipper case, cheap cable, and a very cheap plastic dynamic mic. Perhaps they were out of regular mic stands. The AT2035 is a very good mic BTW.

  16. Great mic and XLR cable. Dont really use any of the other products it came with but the mic by itself cost 150 so why not get a bunch of free stuff while you are at it.
